Gernot (1969- date) is a painter, freelance illustrator, sculptor and designer who lives and works in Bavaria (Germany). Once upon a time he created and exhibited large sized, frightening machinery pictures and ugly creatures in oil paint during the 90's. He eventually decided to concentrate more of his time creating the bizarre, unusual and the accentuated female shape.

Several illustrations of bold mistresses, voluptuous pony-girls, masked nuns and rubberized maids followed. As a consequence his first publications appeared in fetish magazines such as Secret and Twilight and eventually a permanent cooperation with the world’s leading magazine in this genre – Marquis.

Gernot draws and paints his bizarre characters with a passion yet is very technical in his approach. Since about 1998 he has earned his living from books, original art, flyers graphics, copies for tattoo studios and commissioned works for private clients. He also sculpts figurines for his series of stylish fetish sculptures. Very much a character and one who should be followed rather closely. After a wonderfully horrid education at the hands of Nuns and Christian Brothers TDKev as he's affectionately known escaped to attend Chelsea and St Martin's Art schools before leaving to work on Storyboards, portrait painting and private commissions. He was exposed to the London Fetish, Skin Two Magazine and following that a plethora of interesting commissions.

Following a fall and possibly a bang to the head he began a strange 10 year obsession into the kind of Art you see today. Relatively unheard of outside the UK his art has been featured at various exhibitions in London, including the "Limelight club on Shaftesbury Avenue. Perhaps best known for his "Pscychotic Realism" show at the Phoenix Picture House.

I love this guys art and the way he portrays the highest heel with what would appear to be figure hugging feminine fashion perhaps latex; well lets hope so. But don't just look at what you see in front of your eye as behind it are some very strange things going on.
